Ken Woods Memorial Road Race

This past weekend was the Ken Woods Memorial Road Race in Cannon Falls, MN. This race has become a staple in the Minnesota racing scene and, for many, signifies the official start to the road racing season. The 21-mile loop encompasses rough roads, wide open farmland, and plenty of wind.

2012 in 10,000 Miles

This past year has truly been the best year of my life. I had some amazing opportunities, met a ton of new people, and improved my overall health and happiness. I owe most of this to cycling. Cycling has become the most important thing in my life and consumes my work life, home life, and recreation. At the beginning of 2012, I set two goals for myself for the year: Ride 10,000 miles and drop 40 pounds. I am happy to say that I can check both goals off.

This was also my first year racing, both road and cyclocross, and I have to say, it went better than I thought it would. While I might not have been winning races left and right, I always finished, I never finished last, and I always had fun. I was lucky to have had the support of a brand like Foundry Cycles to help me out as I entered the world of racing. Without their support and their bikes, my year would have been much more difficult.

I know that 2013 will be just as good of a year, if not better. My mileage goal for the year has been upped to 12,500 miles. This will definitely be a challenge, but it’s one that I am more than ready to take on. I am beyond excited for what 2013 has in store for me. See you on the road! IMG_0987 Continue reading

Rapha: Team Sky

Super pumped about this partnership. Check out this short film featuring some of the riders of Team Sky talking about their passion for the sport.

Next Level BMX Park Riding

BMX videos always blow my mind because I don’t have the coordination to do anything on a BMX bike but this next level shit.

Bandit Cross: Ruining It For Everybody

I am incredibly proud to say that I worked on this short film. Please take 15 minutes to watch it. Feedback is appreciated.

Rapha: Icknield Way

Rapha just released their latest film from the Rapha Continental project. I have to say, I think this one is my favorite film from this year’s contributions to the project. There is a perfect blend of busy, city riding and long, get-lost-on-country-roads type riding. Go here to read about the ride.

Surly: A Fistful of Monkey

Trust me. You probably won’t be disappointed.

The Weekend

This weekend was busy. I had some friends from Chicago in town playing a show on Saturday night that were staying with me so I didn’t make it to the cyclocross race on Sunday. I did still find time to ride though.
